WoW Leveling Guides Vs. Power Leveling Services

If your reading this, then you are probably trying to play catch up in the leveling grind. Maybe you are stuck at a specific point, or maybe you just want to level an alt but don’t have the time. It happens to all of us at some point and a lot of players look to Power Leveling Services to make their life a little easier. The rest of you might turn to a leveling guide in order to answer your leveling troubles. The real question everyone really wants to know is, which one is better? Let’s take a look at the important factor you need to look at when trying to make your decision.
Speed of Leveling
A power leveling service probably has the edge when it comes to speed. They will level you all the way to 80 in 15 days or less for most websites. A leveling guide on the other hand, while they say you can get “level 80 in 7 days”, that’s 7 days /played time, not 7 real days. Depending on how much time you can play, it can still take 1 to 2 months to get to 80 from scratch. In the speed category, I have to give the edge to the Power Leveling Services. Unless of course you have 24 hours a day to devote to leveling.
Cost of Leveling
Power Leveling Services are expensive. A 1 to 80 power leveling service will cost you anywhere from $297 all the way up to $580 depending on the type of gear and money you want on the account when they are finished. The price also goes up depending on if you want mining or any other professions leveled. A WoW Leveling Guide costs anywhere from $37 to $67 and will still get you to level 80, just like the power leveling service. In terms of cost, the leveling guide wins hands down. Plus, you can use the guide over and over again on multiple characters. The leveling service would have to be purchased each time.
Legality of Leveling
Leveling Guides are perfectly legal. I have never heard of anyone being banned for using a leveling guide, and in fact, Blizzard lost a lawsuit a while back for trying to stop the sale of leveling guides. Since that law suit, they have taken absolutely zero action against guide sellers or users, period. This method is 100% completely legal. Power leveling on the other hand goes against the EULA that you agree to when entering the game. This means that at any time, Blizzard can ban your account for using a power leveling service. I don’t know about you, but that is a serious risk.
The Verdict
While the power leveling service wins in the category of speed, it cannot compete when it comes to cost or legality. Not only will it cost you an arm and a leg, but you might even get banned in the process, which means you would lose your entire account. Personally, I don’t believe in taking the risk involved with a power leveling guide and so I have to recommend the WoW leveling Guides for anyone looking to increase leveling speed and efficiency.
